What a regular house cleaning visit in Newcastle includes
Each visit covers the jobs that keep a home feeling looked after:
- Kitchen – benchtops, splashback and sink cleaned; cooktop and appliance fronts wiped; microwave cleaned inside and out; bins emptied; floor vacuumed and mopped.
- Bathrooms and toilets – shower, screen, bath and basin cleaned; mirrors polished; toilet cleaned and sanitised inside and out; floors mopped.
- Bedrooms – reachable surfaces dusted, beds made (or linen changed if you leave fresh sheets out), mirrors cleaned and floors vacuumed.
- Living areas – surfaces, shelves and TV units dusted, cobwebs removed, glass smudges wiped, and floors vacuumed and mopped.
- Throughout – light switches and door handles wiped, and rubbish taken out to your bins.
The full room-by-room list is further down the page. Oven and fridge interiors, inside windows and other extras can be added to any visit.
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly?
- Weekly suits busy families, homes with pets, and anyone who wants the house at the same standard all the time.
- Fortnightly suits many couples and smaller households. Bathrooms and kitchens stay under control and dust never really builds up.
- Monthly works for tidy households who just want a reset, or as a top-up between your own cleaning.
- One-off cleans are handy before guests arrive, after a busy stretch at work, or after a big event at home.
You can change the frequency later, for example moving to weekly visits during a busy school term and back to fortnightly over the holidays.
Your first clean
The first visit usually takes longer than the rest. We're learning your home, and we're also catching up on anything that has built up, such as soap scum on shower screens or grease on the rangehood. If it has been a while, we may suggest starting with a deep clean so your regular visits can focus on keeping things at that level rather than catching up.
Before the first visit we'll ask about your priorities, any rooms to skip, products you'd like us to use or avoid, pets, and how you'd like us to get in.
How regular visits work
- Access – many clients aren't home when we clean. A spare key, lockbox or garage code works fine, and we lock up when we leave.
- Consistency – we aim to keep the same team on your home where we can, so they get to know how you like things done.
- Notes – want extra attention on the shower this week, or the spare room left alone? Tell us before the visit and we'll adjust.
- Rescheduling – plans change. Let us know as early as you can and we'll find another time.
What affects the price
Your quote is based on your home and the way you want it looked after:
- Number of bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas.
- How often we visit; regular visits generally take less time than occasional ones.
- Pets, especially heavy shedders.
- Stairs, floor types and how much needs moving before we can clean.
- Extras such as the oven, fridge, inside windows, balcony or linen changes.
Quotes are free and there's no obligation.
Cleaning homes the Newcastle way
Homes around Newcastle and the Hunter have their own habits, and our cleaners know them:
- Beach sand and salt come home with you from Merewether, Bar Beach and Redhead. Sand ends up in sliding door tracks, entry mats and showers, and salt haze dulls glass.
- Humid summers make bathrooms prone to mould on ceilings, grout and silicone, especially in older homes without strong exhaust fans. Regular cleaning stops it taking hold.
- Growing estates in Chisholm, Thornton and around Lake Macquarie collect dust from nearby building sites for years after you move in.
- Older homes in Lambton, Adamstown and Hamilton often have timber floors, picture rails and high ceilings that need gentle products and a longer reach.
- Shift workers, from hospital staff at John Hunter to mine and Defence rosters around Singleton, often prefer visits while they're at work, so the house is done when they get home.
